Bridal Stuff (You Know You Had It Coming..)

Well the engagement season for A and I is now past halfway over, and I’ve got a bridal shower registry to show for it…who would think this type of thing exists anyway, right? Yet here I am surrounded by loving people who want to kickstart some real dreams…like a nonprofit art opportunity for individuals globally and in our backyard with any type of disability, any age range that can love art. To that end, I added a few rock star items:

pottery tools on amazon

$26

Table pottery wheel (alright, this is the dream item of the bunch; hopefully like 20 people go in on it because let’s not break the bank):

pottery wheel

$485

And let’s not forget the electric foot pedal to make it more accessible and usable:

Then, I have this crazy idea of a low-key photo station for guests so there’s that idea coming to life:

$85 including 60 color film pieces (also asking for 120 more for $70…pricy, yes, but memorable and cheaper than a photo booth but way more personalized)

A little guest book scrap book for guests to have fun and write messages:

Then we’ve got some good items I’ve been eyeing to get comfy:

Going to try out that recipe ASAP (way before wedding because cayenne sounds strong) and get back to you with results! (Also: olive oil, honey, vitamin E, and brown sugar!) Speaking of the best vitamin E for skin…

Here’s what I’m interested in as I soak up as much as possible about make-up to get ready for wedding photos, because I’ll go into it some other day but I’ve had trouble with recent professional make-up pre-photos:

«Mauve is really good with blue eyes» (noted; she used MAC)

By the way, here’s the video I’m learning from (I’d love to have wedding eyes close to this):

The next post will involve how we are saving money at the wedding reception and Nuptial Mass…beautiful and as my friend said, «no bride ever wished she spent MORE on her wedding day…!» True…and I’m not even married yet, haha! We’ve been trying to buy items that we will easily and happily reuse in our home, family interests, and hobbies!

My prayers extend to readers. God is so good. This post doesn’t capture the best part about an engagement: the potential to grow closer to God together. We are taking some formation classes that teaches about what’s behind the Bible and explaining the Catechism…really important concepts for all Catholics to know…and hosted by Opus Dei on my undergraduate campus (in Sitzmann Hall, the most beautiful spot on campus!), and now going to faith groups and hopefully also Recollections soon enough as well…what a beautiful faith journey to continue into our (almost) second year together and focus on God first.
